Yoga therapy addresses the whole person—mind, body, and soul.

“Yoga practice is ultimately more a way of non-doing than doing. It is more a way of undoing. It is doing less, turning within, letting go, and surrendering. Yoga means discovering the healing essence that can draw us to a higher awareness naturally, in which we can let go of our stress, our anxiety, our negativity, our traumas, all these emotional factors that disturb us and keep us down. Inner yoga is that in which we move from activity to surrender and to cultivating the flow of grace.”

What is Spinal Release Yoga Therapy?

Supreme Release Yoga is a deeply nourishing, restorative, rejuvenative style of Yoga Therapy. In every session, we will work to quiet the mind and release tight and tense muscles. You will be guided in poses that release the entire spine (tailbone, sacrum, psoas, ribcage) in a very meticulous way that allows for a full release especially in tight or stuck areas of the spine and body. You will be guided through specific pranayama (breathwork) and guided relaxation meant to calm the nervous system allowing for a state of calm and tranquility. For full benefit, you are encouraged to practice this style daily (shorter practice is fine) and meet with a SRY Yoga Therapist regularly.

Experience Yoga Nidra (yogic sleep) or listen to a breath awareness scan using the audio clips below. Lie in a comfortable, neutral position, where you cannot be bothered, and allow yourself to fully relax. Enjoy!
